Inquisite 6.5 Gives Managers More Control of Survey Process
Greater Flexibility via HTML Email Invitations, Opt-Out Lists and Survey Approval Features
AUSTIN, TEXAS - October 1, 2004 - Inquisite today announced the release of Inquisite 6.5, the latest version of its web survey software. As an industry leader in survey technology, Inquisite continues to provide its customers with faster and more accurate ways to create surveys, manage respondents and collect strategic information across the enterprise. This latest version of Inquisite offers survey managers greater flexibility via HTML email invitations, email opt-out lists and a new survey approval process.
Catapult Systems, an information technology consulting firm, utilized Inquisite 6.5 for their annual 360° employee reviews. Sam Goodner, CEO of Catapult Systems, was impressed with the increased efficiency in survey creation with the use of the new approval process. This key feature allowed him to delegate the task of survey creation to a broader group of people in the company while still allowing him final approval before the surveys were sent out.
"Inquisite's new survey workflow feature allowed me to delegate survey creation without losing control of the final product. Using this feature, I was able to have several people work on different sections of the survey, then send it to me for final approval. This new process eliminated the chance of it going out to employees before I could see it," Goodner said.
Key features of Inquisite 6.5 include:
- HTML Email Invitations. A full-featured HTML editor is available through Invitation Management, allowing users to create HTML email invitations to match the look of a survey or for corporate branding. Inquisite makes survey administration even easier by also providing HTML versions of the email notifications from the Inquisite server. This makes the emails clearer and easier to read as well as making them easier to act on.
- Email Opt-Out Lists. With the ever escalating issue of spam and anti-spam legislation, Inquisite has added an email opt-out option to allow compliance with government regulations as well as to provide a convenient mechanism for Survey Administrators to manage respondents that choose not to receive future survey invitations. All email invitations and reminders sent out can include an opt-out link which will prevent further invitations and reminders from being sent to that recipient.
- Survey Approval Process. An additional administrative role has been added to Inquisite which allows a person to preview and approve surveys. With this new feature enabled, deployed surveys can be previewed and approved for publication.
A new printing option gives users the ability to print a blank survey for review or for distribution to respondents who cannot be reached online. The new response review and receipt features give respondents a way to review and edit their responses before submitting their survey, allowing for more accurate data in the reports. This feature not only allows respondents to have a record of survey responses, but can be beneficial as proof for surveys with incentives or compliance programs in place, in the event it should be needed.
Other new features include: a reports summary interface, allowing easier access to recently run, saved and published reports; reports customization, which gives a Survey Administrator the ability to change the fonts, colors and chart styles of all reports as well as control chart aspects like legends, series labels, rotation and depth; and GIF image support, which allows the ability to insert both static and animated GIF images into surveys.
