Inquisite Announces Executive Management Appointments
AUSTIN, TEXAS - February 1, 2005- Inquisite, a leading provider of online survey technology, today announced the appointment of Arturo Coto to the position of CEO. Meg Murphy has been tapped to lead Inquisite's business development efforts
Coto, who joined the company in early 2004, brings with him over thirteen years of experience in the survey technology and market research industry. "We are excited to have Arturo step into the position of CEO," said Sam Goodner, owner and board member of Inquisite. "His success in heading up Inquisite's sales organization and the respect he has gained as a leader matched with his experience in the market research industry made this a natural transition for Inquisite. Prior to joining the Inquisite team, Coto spent eight years with the Gallup Organization where he opened offices throughout Latin America. He served as both the Director of Operations in Gallup Venezuela and Director of Business Development in Gallup Brazil. After his tenure with Gallup, Coto co-founded and served as Director of the Americas for Global Market Insite (GMI), a leading technology provider for the market research industry. Coto has worked with clients in market research, telecommunications, consumer products, financial services, e-commerce, entertainment and media.
Murphy, who joined the company in 2001, has played a key role in elevating the company's Web survey technology to achieve national recognition as an enterprise-scale online survey solution. Under her leadership, Inquisite closed 2003 and 2004 with double-digit profits and she played a key role in doubling sales from 2002 to 2004
In her new role leading Business Development, Murphy will focus on strategic alliances, channel sales and acquisition opportunities. "Meg has led Inquisite to unprecedented growth in all the various positions she has held in the company," said Goodner. "As the driving force behind our business development efforts, she will be responsible for an aggressive strategy to achieve greater penetration of the growing web survey technology market."
Prior to joining Inquisite, Murphy held several key positions at Datametrics Systems Corp. As Vice President, she managed Datametrics' Web-Based Business Division, which launched Internet-based sales and support. Prior to that, Murphy served as Director of Strategic Partnerships and Director of International Sales. During her tenure at Datametrics, channel sales consistently generated more than 60 percent of the company's annual revenue.
